Music

Music

Music has a unique way of communication -it can engage, inspire and motivate children. It is a vehicle for personal expression and can play an important role in the development of children. Music gives children a way to connect with others – at The Croft the children have the opportunity to work collaboratively with others, making shared memories. When they perform it promotes a sense of pride in their work and achievements. Music also links to many others are of the curriculum such as communication and language, history, maths. Good music education can help develop a range of skills such as self-confidence, creativity, fine-motor control and develop children’s understanding of the world.

We have expert music tution from Rock-it and take part in out National London Performing Arts exam. We also take part in sing and shine where we learn to perform songs with sign language. In addition to this, we also have the chance to take up musical instrument tution in violin, trumpet, flute and claranet.
