As this academic year draws to a close, we would like to briefly outline our plans for the Autumn term. I am sure many of you are aware the Government recently announced that all primary school will be fully open to all pupils in September. Everyone here is excited to be getting back to some kind of normal and are ready to welcome back all the children to school.
There will be a few changes to school routines and procedures in order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all the children, their families and the staff. We will be communicating these to you shortly - so watch this space.
Many of you will be aware that Mrs Richards has returned to school from her maternity leave and Miss Carter will be leaving us at the end of the term to start a new job at a school in Walsall. I'm sure you will all join us in wishing her all the best in her new position.
If you go over to the class pages you will see a new profile for your child's class teacher. In September there will be a couple of changes. The classes will be taught by the following teachers:
Reception - Mrs Daniel
Year 1 - Mrs Richards
Year 2 - Mrs Astley
Year 3 - Mrs Challinor
Year 4 - Miss Paris
Year 5 - Mr Hughes
Year 6 - Mrs Hatton
The last day of school will be Monday 20th July and school will reopen to pupils on Thursday 3rd September. We appreciate that for many of you the last few months have been challenging times - not least for the Year 6 pupils who will be leaving us to go to various secondary schools. It is so sad that their time at The Croft has finished like this but I am confident that they will thrive at their new schools. Everyone here wishes them all the best and hopefully in the future we will all be able to meet up again soon.
All that remains is for me to thank everyone for their hard work and support this year - it has definitely been the most challenging of my career to date. Please enjoy the summer holidays with your family and stafe safe.
See you all in September.
Mrs Joanne Millett
