I hope you all managed to enjoy the good weather over the Bank Holiday weekend and you and your family are safe and well.
I wish to update you with The Croft's plans to begin phased opening to more year groups.
We have had detailed guidance from the Government and have carried out risk assessments to ensure that when the children do return to school, it is as safe as we can possibly make it for children , families and our staff.
During the risk assesment process we have had to take into consideration:
-Numbers of children expected to return to school
-Social distancing guidelines
-Health, Safety & Welfare of pupils and staff
At this stage, due to the limited space available and staffing capacity we are only able to open to Reception and Year 1 children from 8th June. Keyworker children who have been attending school over the last 9 weeks can still do so from 1st June.
Hopefully as time goes on and death/infection rates decrease and trace & tracking technology is implemented, we will be able to open up to more year groups.
We will of course be reviewing the situation regularly and will contact you with any changes. We have created a new page on our website under school information where we will post useful documents and updates.
One of the overriding things that has struck me about The Croft and it's families is it's caring nature and this has never been more evident than it is at the moment. I would like to thank you all for your support in these challenging times.
I would like to reassure you that the health, safety and welfare of our children, staff and our families is our highest priority and has been at the heart of every decision we have made and will continue to be so.
Stay safe and take care.
Mrs Joanne Millett
